The Music history made unique
ARTIS MAGISTRI is a consultancy firm specialising in music. Despite its young age, it is made up of partners with long experience in the world of classical music. The members of the staff are traditionally linked to the world of music in its various fields: performance and musical creation; audiovisual production, promotion of concerts, performances and festivals; and artistic representation accompanied by media promotion.
Its origins date back to 1985, when it was born as a project to create the first private chamber ensemble, the Orquesta Autónoma de Madrid, with the participation of students from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, the famous Conservatorio de Ópera (now the Teatro Real de Madrid). As the years went by, and in the face of the difficulties of unstable times, it had to suspend its activities in the midst of the Spanish democratic transition.
At the beginning of the 1990s, the orchestra’s own founding organisation was transformed into Forum Musicae, an ensemble for avant-garde music that would take a risky approach to new forms of musical composition and would also count on the collaboration of prestigious international soloists and ensembles, some of which would serve as reference points, such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain and Klangforum Wien. The creation of the Wien Modern Festival in 1988, on the initiative of the conductor and then General Music Director of the City of Vienna, Claudio Abbado, was one of these indisputable references for the project.
After the dissolution of Forum Musicae, and after experimenting with other musical styles such as jazz, from 2006 we focused our activity on working with various partners to create a pool of assets in the field of audiovisual music production and communication, focusing on classical music: publishing, concert organisation and recording production, among others. All this experience led, in 2012, to the creation of the consultancy firm under its current name, ARTIS MAGISTRI, dedicated to working with international companies in the distribution of music in all formats: television, radio, mobile platforms and the Internet. Among its wide range of services, one of its main activities is the artistic management of renowned artists in the current international music scenario.
ARTIS MAGISTRI takes a global approach to artistic management, with media promotion, including the planning of audiovisual recordings, television and the management and protection of the digital rights generated. The ARTIS MAGISTRI team maintains a direct relationship with artists, prioritising the artistic, professional and creative needs of those it represents. It also pays particular attention to the projection of new talents and the rediscovery of established ones.
Finally, a quick note on graphic design. Our logo was designed by Angel Campanero, one of the most important voices on the international graphic design scene.
